Hazel Potter is a Veterinary and Chartered Physiotherapist, based in Alnwick, Northumberland, providing horse and rider physiotherapy and rehabilitation across Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

Chartered Physiotherapists are trained to assess and treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems and just like people, animals respond positively to physiotherapy. As a result, Veterinary Physiotherapy has become increasingly prominent as an adjunct to veterinary medicine in the treatment of large and small animals. The overall aims of physiotherapy are to promote healing, maintain mobility, function, independence, and enhance performance.

Physiotherapy can be used for working and competition animals to help them reach their full performance potential and avoid injury. Referrals may be from your veterinary surgeon or by direct contact from yourself. Veterinary consent will be obtained before carrying out assessment and treatment. This is a legal requirement of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 in order to protect your animal.
